Facility Tour

Waste Management’s Lockwood Regional Landfill, Sparks, Nevada
This regional facility accepts 6,000 TPD by utilizing three landfill tippers. This Waste Management facility currently serves Northern Nevada, and Northern/Central California. The facility is in an arid region consisting of 3,735 acres approved under a subtitle D design. The facility includes a bioremediation operation, white goods recycling, liquid waste solidification, waste oil, antifreeze and battery recycling program, and asphalt grinding reuse operation.

NOTE: Plan for the tour to take the entire time allotted and please make travel arrangements accordingly. Casual attire recommended for this tour; open-toed shoes, skirts, and shorts are NOT suggested. The tour will take place rain or shine. Personal vehicles will NOT be allowed onsite.
